Yosemite script monitor hangs

When I run an applescript targeting Illustrator from the scripts menu, the script monitor in Yosemite hangs. It has the whirring gears thing going.

When I run the same script from Script Editor there is no issue. Has anyone had the same problem? Does anyone have an idea of how to fix this?

Thanks

Someone posted a similar problem on the Apple scripting mailing list recently, although they didn’t mention Illustrator specifically. Sounds like a bug.

The best thing I can suggest is that you use FastScripts instead. It does more (keyboard shortcuts, for starters), it’s faster, it’s free for a certain amount of functionality, and it’s cheap anyway.
