Automator trigger with every third file added.

Hi Everyone,
New to the forum...Hurray! Is there a way for Automator to trigger after a predetermined number of files have been added to a folder instead of every time a single file is added? I'm working with files in groups of three and when I run the action it wants to run three times. Even a way for Automator to pause watching the folder until the action is complete and then looking for a new file from that point forward would also work.
Thanks for your help.

Hey Forrest,

Welcome!

No.

You're saying that you're adding three files at a time?

Or are you adding one file at a time three times?

There's a way to work with a group of items added all at once to a folder.

It would also be possible to have the script count each added item and only do the processing when the count gets up to three.

But you need to describe what you're doing in more detail.
