I think it’s a mistake to eliminate replies from the Code Exchange. I, for one, will not submit one under those terms. Suppose it contains an overlooked condition that needs correction; suppose it works in Panther but not Tiger and someone notices that; suppose there’s a known much better way. I’ve learned more from the comments in Code Exchange than from the original postings.
