Turns out that in the brave new world of the use statement, using identical terminology is a bad idea if you’re going to use scripting additions. It’s like trying to compile this:

use scripting additions
use application "Finder"

modification date of (info for (choose file))

Yep. Exactly what I was getting. Oh well
