Does anyone have any experience with this? Does it work right, in particular I am looking at scripting Quark, which as most know is still limited to classic.
It seems to work OK. From what I’ve gathered, you have 2 options available: you can run scripts in OS X (using Applescript 1.9.x) or you can run scripts within Classic (using Applescript 1.8.3). Both are available simultaneously. To set which one will be used for a given script, do a Get Info on a script and you’ll see a checkbox for “Open in the Classic environment.”
For Quark scripts, I’d recommend checking that box. Since Quark is running in Classic, I’ve had more success when the scripts are also running in Classic.
