Preferences for tha AppleScript app

I am new with AppleScript. Probably my question is innocent. I am not sure of what is possible and not.

When I export a script from Script Editor as an app I see that the app has Preferences. How can I put the preferences of my app.

For instance, my app helps with different code editors and different browsers. Can the user choose in preferences the code editor and browser that he uses?

Although script applets save defaults values in ~/Library/Preferences, there's no direct AppleScript involvement. However, I've written a Script Library that fills the gap, PrefsStorageLib, which you can download here:
