Displaying dialog boxes on local iMac and getting input.

Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to display a dialog box on another networked mac.

I ask this because the place where I work we have a label printer in a different room to where some people print the labels and soon we have to change the roll of labels depending on what we are print and I am making an an applescript to automate label printing and I want to be able to notify a user that a certain colour label will be printing out and ask them to check and then return a result to the person running the script.

Is this possible at all?

Thanks,
Bruce

Hi,

maybe using the Bonjour Account of iChat (Messages) is a solution,
because user interaction via Apple Remote Events is not allowed

I have not seen a Bonjure account in iChat/iMessage it just asks me to sign in with an apple ID.

Am I missing something?

Thanks,
Bruce

Open Messages > Preferences > Accounts and enable the Bonjour Account

Ah right ok, thanks for that!

Thanks,
Bruce
