to OPEN AN HTML PAGE in a FOLDER ON MY DESKTOP
SAVE the page AS WEBARCHIVE
CLOSE IT
REPEAT THE PROCESS

from the folder of choice?

The textutils command
do shell script "/usr/bin/textutil -format html -convert webarchive -output " & quoted form of POSIX path of webarchivePath & space & quoted form of POSIX path of aFilePath

does not keep two lines of javascriptcode within the html code
