Hi, I’m trying to follow-along with the Mail Search tutorial provided with Applescript but am running into a problem customizing the application. I want to change the app icon, but when I click on the target (Mail Search) and open the inspector I only have a general tab, there is no properties tab for me to select.
There’s a pretty good thread about adding your custom icons to your project here…

I haven’t messed with the mailsearch tut, but it may just have some erroneous verbage that’s steering you the wrong way. The post above should clarify a few good ways to get the icon you want into your project.
I think I (sort of) figured this out. It seems that unless you have a target that is “native” (whatever that means), you will not get a properties tab. This doesn’t mean you can’t change the icons, you just have to doubleclick the target to edit it directly, then change the application icon field this way.
The other thing that worked was to go to the project menu and upgrade the target to native, then it has a properties tab from inspector.
