Adding .jpg to back up photos names

I can’t import a bunch of jpegs into iphoto because I renamed them with a pc program called Qimage without the jpg tag in the file name. Now all I want is to get them into the event organization of iphoto '08, iphoto does not recognize them. The only solution I have come up with is going to each of the individual 2,000 files and adding .jpg to it. I looked for other applescripts that would work to do this in batches, folder by folder, but could not find one that does this simple of a function.

I am totally a rookie with this program. It is foreign to me. I would not know where to start to create a script like this. Can anyone help me get started?

Hi

Look in the scripts that came with your mac.
there’s one called add to file names.
this will do what you need.
you may after open each folder but it will work!
