I am new to developement in mac os.Can anyone pls tell me what is the IDE used for writing applications in Apple script.Where do i download the software from.Any website where i can know more about Applescript

You can start at the AppleScript site and then ask here if you have unanswered questions. Depending on the version of Mac OS that you are using, you likely have the tools needed to start. Look for Script Editor.

You can install the Developer tools that came with the Mac and Use Project build to build applications using Applescript. Or in Applications/Applescript you can use the Script editor application to start writing applescripts
