Applescript Editor unstable since Mavericks?

Has anyone else found AppleScript Editor to be unstable since updating to Mavericks. In particular, I’m seeing two problems:

  1. I can’t save/autosave because “Another application has modified the file”. No idea what that other application could be.

  2. Hanging and crashing, particularly when I try to save.

Any recommendations?
