Bug In Design CS2 ?

Anyone nows of a bug in In Design, while creating a postscript file of different pages with each a PDF file?

I’ve made a script for making PDF files for the internet, simple placing the single PDF files of the printer in a seperate page in In Design, so you can create a new PDF wich contains all the pages in low resolution, RGB and without bleed.

The script works fine, but everytime i want to make a postscript file of an In Design document wich contains more as 20 PDF files (made by the script or ‘normal’ made) makes In Design crash …

Sounds like a In Design bug to me, or am i missing something?

P.S. Crashes under Panther and Leopard, with the latest update, and it don’t make any different of the PDF files are on 1 page or different pages.

Hi Jan.

Post your script so i can see if this does the same on my machine…

You mention Leopard!! i assume you mean Tiger.
If you have Leopard i would imagine it might be a little buggy at this stage…???(Don’t tell Apple!)

It has nothing to do with my script, because without scripting it crashes too… the scripts works fine.
Stupid from InDesign, because in CS1 it works well, my solution is to use the script in CS1 in stead of CS2 or to convert de documents to CS1 format.
(And the convert document wich earlier crashed under CS2 haves no problems with CS1, so it’s really a bug)

And yes i mean Leopard, i have had a beta version from Apple, has a few bugs offcourse, but i’m allready making my new scripts compatible with Leopard.
(Scripting in Xcode 3 - with a few adjustments for Panther). Only a pitty is that you can’t installated InDesign on 2 partitions of the same computer (I have a Leopard and a Tiger partition on my new computer), so i can test the Tiger part only at the office.

It’s a good move from Apple, if you are a registered (and paying) developer you get they send you the beta version of Leopard and every month a DVD with updates, scripts etc.
Costs $ 500,- a year, but if you develop and sells scripts like i do it’s worth it.
