Can a end user create new Library segments?

Back in the days of FileMaker Pro 8.5 on Tiger, I discovered a “FileMaker Pro Action Pack” that added 10 actions to Automator. I seem to recall these actions showed up in a “FileMaker” group in Automator (a la Automator’s current Library segments).

When I added the FileMaker actions to Leopard’s Automator, they wound up sprinked thru the Library > Other segment.

When I couldn’t find a way to create a new Library segment for FileMaker, I created a “FileMaker Pro” group and dragged the individual actions from Other into my new group.

Is that the best I can do with the current Automator?

Try going to View —> Arrange Actions by → Then choose Application. It should create a FileMaker Pro Library Heading, complete with appropriate icon.

If that does not work, you are stuck with either your fix, or making a Smart Group with FileMaker actions.

Ah, that looks like what I’m used to! And my FileMaker Pro segment has 13 actions, not just the 10 that I’d recognized from the long list of Others.
