ChronoSync Script HELP

Hi there,

New to this forum so please forgive me if I have posted this question on the wrong area.

I have recently started using scripts and so then extremely fresh face to what to do. But I have a problem to solve which I think writing an apple script will help solve, but I would like to ask this forum for some advice/ help.

So at the end of each back I have to back up my work, I scan photographs for a photographer at his studio, to an external hard drive - so I use ChronoSync to do so - then once that is done I have to then make a second backup of this drive to another external hard drive - so I use ChronoSync again and have a separate setup make for this. But in order to run this I must wait for the first setup to finish.

I wanted to know if a script could be written for the ChronoSync application or for use in AppleScript to activate the second setup to run after the first one has finished?

Thank you for your time and help.

Hello!

I guess you have trawled the settings of ChronoSync, I don’t have it, but I think you should copy and paste your mail into a mail to the guys that make ChronoSync, I have a hunch that they will help you! Either with a script, or something else.

For instance, if you could make ChronoSync quit, when the first backup was done, then you could start it up with the second set, some way or another, like with the open -a command, or have open open the backup specification, that should have ChronoSync as default application. (post this too).

You don’t even need a script!

Create a new ChronoSync container, drop your two synchronizer documents into it, and that container will run those documents sequentially.
