click menu in OS 9, how?

hello all,

Is there a way to select something from the menu bar (in any program) with appleScript in OS 9?

(I’ve searched, and all I’ve found seems to only work in X…)

You might also look into Akua Sweets’ puppet menu command.
I’ve used it with success.
