I am a Psychotherapist preparing an inclusive MS Word 2008 document for client intake information. Several documents have been merged into one master document but each section retains its formatting, headers and pagination. Data needed elsewhere in the document is automatically populated by means of bookmarks and references and forms are used to ease data entry. So far, so good.
To complete this project I need two scripts.
-
I’d like to use a checkbox (if the checkbox is true then show sectionX, else hide sectionX) to collapse or hide a section, range of text or table. If, for example, I have a young person who has not had legal difficulty, I’d like to hide or collapse the part of the document that asks legal questions so that the final rendition of this clients document is tailored to his specific needs and omits superfluous pages.
-
I’d like a script that chooses a digital signature/initial (usually a png file) placed into a MS Word 2008 table cell (from Wacom tablet or iPad) to automatically populate the other table cells where the signature/initial is needed.
I have not started these parts of the project as yet but have the AppleScript Reference documentation in front of me as I type. With time, I can accomplish these tasks, but I find myself short on time as I wear many hats. I have every confidence that there is a scripting Jedi reading who can write these scripts by simply using the Force. Skilled help will speed me along. Thanks for considering my project.
