does anyone know if there is a way to test if an action exists in illustrator CS2 ?

looking into your question i don’t think you can check to see if an action exists.
only way i could see a workaround would be if the action was saved as a “.aia” file
then check against its existence in the illustrator folder (thats assuming it was saved there!!)
