Double-saving files to two destinations

This might be beyond my or Applescript’s abilities, but I’m trying to find a way to ‘mirror’ a new or changed file on my Mac to an always-on network server. Hell, I’d like to do it to a Cloud server, but that’s not that easy for a free-cloud-account-only peon like me who doesn’t want all his Mac folders nested under ~/Dropbox. Not sync it, but just copy it (hopefully later learning how to append to it sequentially if the file already exists).

Would this mean hijacking the Save File routine and doing a double-destination save? If so, how?

Or is there a (pref. free) app that will do this to and from selected folders? And save me the work
