Dynamic Dialogs in Quark

Hello -

What is the best way of dynamically generating dialog boxes in Quark 8.1 from a configuration file? The config file defines text fields and pop-up menus that the script is to arrange in a dialog box for the user to respond to.

For InDesign documents it’s easy - InDesign’s dictionary provides a “make dialog” command and all sorts of controls to insert. I don’t see that Quark provides any such thing. For previous Quark versions I’ve written XTensions to do this but we’d like to avoid having to renew our license which is necessary to download their 8.1 XTension Development Kit.

I’m guessing Xcode somehow (which I don’t get along with, but if I have to…) or is there a current scriptable FaceSpan-like tool that’s out there? Or best of all, does Quark offer something in its dictionary I’m missing?

Thanks…
