Entourage Ex - Im still won't launch

Hi Everyone,

I am trying to get Paul Berkowitz’s Export-Import Entourage X 1.2.10 to work on my computer. I purchased a registration code, etc. And I am able to export contacts, but when I try to get the export text file to convert to a .csv file (for importation into Outlook), the droplet (or script) to do this won’t launch.

Also, when I try to launch “Unlock all scripts”, that won’t launch either. However, I have been able to activate the export contact script while in Entourage to export contacts, but can’t get anything else to work.

I’d pay some one to get this to work for me.

I would suggest contacting Paul Berkowitz about this. I’m sure Paul would want to know about any problems his registered users might be experiencing.

thanks for your reply… I have emailed him twice. How long do you think it might take him to reply? (It’s only been two days… but I am desparate…)

It’s Stuffit Expander 8.0.0 doing that.

It’s because you installed Stuffit Expander 8.0 as soon as it came out: it sets execute permissions on the applet scripts inside the folder it’s unstuffing to Off.

Stuffit Engine 8.0.1 fixes that bug. Get it from the Aladdin website (http://www.stuffit.com). They had briefly sent me a utility which could fix it on a folder-by-folder basis, but you’re better off getting 8.0.1 since it will affect all .sit downloads you make.

I’ve received about 50 emails from users regarding this issue. Damn StuffIt!
I’ll post an entry here, so ocassional users still not at 8.0.1 cannot “desperate”…
