I recently put a couple of folder actions on two different servers of a large network. I noticed that the tiny script icon appears on everyone’s machine, but the folder action only executes when I open the servers from my machine (where the script resides). Some people have complained that the network speed is being slowed down by my scripts. Is there any possibility of this?

I’m by no means an expert - but in an OS older than OSX you need to have the network folders with the actions attached open on the machine with the folder action script for it to work - I use a script in my startup items folder to open the folders as tiny windows in the bottom left of my machine - I can post it if you like as it needs a wait command to let OS9 finish it’s start-up
