Has anyone written a script that exports a single event from Calendar to an ICS-file? Drag'n'drop no longer works

The heading says it all. Drag an event to Finder to create an ICS-file no longer works. Before I write such a script myself, maybe someone already have written it and could share?

What makes you say it doesn’t work?

Seems to work fine OMM (MacBook Pro/M3/macOS Sonoma)

That aside, there doesn’t seem to be any dictionary option to export an event, which leaves you with UI scripting.

I can drag an event to a Finder window but nothing is created (but it works on an older computer I have). I also saw a question on Stack Exchange with the same claim.

I don’t know what to tell you, beyond:

So we’re going to need more info… OS version?, Calendar.app version?.
Is the event you’re trying to create associated with your iCloud account? or something else?
Is it the same for new events (like in my video) vs. old ones? What about single events vs. recurring events?
