Can someone tell me if it is possible to hiding or surpressing the menu of an application? No matter what I do I end up with at least the application name on the menu bar.

As far as I know, a default minimal application menu will be generated for any applescript studio app…even if you delete the menu object completely. There are some code examples here and elsewhere that enable you to go full screen, which would remove the app main menus, but would make you lose the desktop. You’d have to toggle back and forth to access the desktop, during which your menu would be visible again. Perhaps the code can be minimalized to only get rid of the menu???
