Identifying italics in FileMaker Pro field

I have a large FileMaker Pro database with fields that contain some text in italics. I want to create a FMP script that will locate that text so that I can place html tags around it for export. Unless I’m missing something, I can’t do that within FMP’s scriptwriter, so I am wondering if there might be a way to do it with an appleScript that could be called from the FMP script.

This can be done without using AppleScript. Consider FileMaker’s internal function called “GetAsSVG”…

I should have been more specific. I’m using FileMaker Pro 6 (yes, I know it is old but until now it has met my simple needs) and I don’t think it has GetAsSVG. It may be time to consider upgrading, but I’m hopeful there is another way. Thanks.
