ipod update scripting

hi there

i want to initiate an itunes song update for a attached ipod. is this possible through AS?

further more i want to find out which playlists currently are syncronised between ipod and iTunes. how can get i this in AS?

This should work for updating and returning the names of the playlists of all mounted iPods:

–Open this script in a new Script Editor window.

tell application “iTunes”
activate
set iPod_playlists to {}
set mounted_iPods to (sources whose kind = iPod)
repeat with this_iPod in mounted_iPods
update this_iPod
set end of iPod_playlists to name of this_iPod & “’s Playlists:” & return
set end of iPod_playlists to name of this_iPod’s playlists & return
end repeat
tell (a reference to my text item delimiters)
set {o, contents} to {contents, return}
set {iPod_playlists, contents} to {“” & iPod_playlists, o}
end tell
display dialog iPod_playlists buttons {“OK”} default button 1 with icon 1 giving up after 10
return iPod_playlists
end tell

this does what i want! and seems to be quite straight forward!

however when i had a look at the itunes dic i couldn’t find e.g. update this_ipod.

the other trick is the one with “sources whose kind-ipod” that’s prety cool!
