AppleScript Studio is a part of the Apple Developer Tools, which are on the Tiger or Leopard retail DVD.
You can also download it on Apple Developer Connection after getting a free online membership
It IS wonderful
AND easy to learn, if you’re willing to put some time into it.
Regarding this link : http://www.computer-training-software.com/applescript-studio.htm, I would advise you NOT TO PAY for this kind of service, since you have a lot of documentation available online.
The only problem is that it is spread out a little bit everywhere, so you will need to do your research.
To get you started, you could just take a look at the example scripts that come with the developper tools. Once you have installed them, just look into ~Developer/Examples/Applescript Studio (it may not be the right path, I don’t have my Mac with me).
Otherwise, there are examples in ~Library/Scripts/Finder Scripts and in the whole scripts folder.
That could give you a good idea as to what the Applescript language looks like.
EDIT | it goes without saying that this forum has a lot of ressources. Use the search thing when you have a question / problem and I’m sure you’ll get what you want in no time.

I agree with BSOD, that is a lot of money for something that does not look that much more in-depth than Apple’s documentation and samples. I think that you are best with the standard documentation and this community which is very helpful.
On another thread, hvdwolf said AppleScript Studio was contained in Xcode, and that I should download it. Curiously enough, out of doubt concerning my AppleScript Studio prospects, I downloaded Xcode 2.5 Developer Tools last night, planning to wait until today to install it. When I attempted to do so, I discovered that I don’t have enough available space on my HD.
I have a ton of music in iTunes and I belive that is what’s taking up all the space. So I am wondering whether I should move just the iTunes “Music” folder to an external drive, and if so, whether I do so by Command-Drag or by changing the location in iTunes Advanced Preferences. I posed the same question to hvdwolf on the other thread, so I apologize for the duplication.
Re: the tutorial -
I know so little about software development that I’m not even sure I can ask an intelligent question,. The tutorial appeals to me because it contains a wealth of information in one place, is immediately accessible at my convenience, is easy to understand, and the first three chapters are free.
Having said that, at this point I don’t know how relevant that all is because I’m not clear on whether AppleScript Studio and Xcode are the same thing. Are they?
