As far as I understand, the only way to manually tell Address Book and Google Contacts to synchronize (assuming you have it turned on and configured in Address Book) is to have Apple’s Sync.menu menu extra on your menu bar, and to choose the “Sync Now” menu item off it.
I’m a menu bar minimalist, and it bugs me to have a menu extra on my menu bar 24/7 to fulfill a purpose I only do once in a great while.
Does anyone know if this is a function that can be accessed via AppleScript, instead of Sync.menu?
(Please note I’m looking for something that would allow me to NOT have the menu on the menu bar, so I’m not looking for GUI scripting that would select the menu item from the menu extra.)
