Javascript editor for OSX?

Bit of a weird question to ask on an Applescript forum, I know, but what app would you recommend to write Javascripts?

It looks like 10.6 has broken some aspects of Applescript in Illustrator CS3, so I was thinking of (re-)writing some scripts in Javascript. Coming from Applescript, I’m quite used to Script Editor with its simple interface and ability to test script straightaway. What would be the equivalent for writing Javascript?

Adobe has an application called Extendscript toolkit 2, check your Adobe Utilities folder in your utilities folder for the application or your install disks.

I can’t believe I didn’t know about this. After a year of writing scripts for Illustrator, I had no idea. Thanks a bunch.
