List folder in AS 1.7 stuck

In AppleScript 1.7, the list folder command does not work anymore.
Example: list folder “HD:” list folder alias “HD:” list folder “HD:” as alias
all lead to —> Finder got an error: Can’t make alias “HD:” into a item.
Please help…!

Please see my post about the incompatibilities I that have found with AS 1.7. I hope that helps.

Are you telling Finder to list folder? If so, try this without the Finder:
list folder alias “HD:”
