Mountain Lion: iCal alarm no longer able to run AppleScript

It appears that you can no longer run an AppleScript as an iCal alarm with Mountain Lion.

You can’t even save scripts as apps and run the apps.

Any thoughts, ideas, help…?

The simple solution is to just save the script as an application from Applescript Editor.
Then choose “Open file” (intstead of the missing “Run script”) in the calendar event and select the app you created.

I tried that and it did not work for me. Can you confirm that it works?
