Mounting local volumes

Hello,
I’ve got a problem with my extra internal harddrive not mounting after a cold boot. I’m wondering if there’s a way to script the volume mounting, so that i can just stick it in the startup items folder.
TIA!
Lance

I am hesitant to tell you this, as it is forgoing the reason your drive volume is not mounting. It should!! I would advise you to check into this first, before trying some scripting solution.

However, go to our scripting additions section, http://bbs.applescript.net/osax/sa.shtml and check out Mount Volume osax. It may allow you (or should at anyway) to do what your wanting to do, providing some conditions are met first.

Caveat Emptor: If your drive is not mounting, I would be sure to update the driver to your hard-drive with the formating utility that comes with your mac. Seems to me if it doesn’t mount, your system is not seeing it and therefore that leads me to believe your script won’t see it either, making all this a moot point.
Good luck to you!
