I need to be able to automate the opening of quark and photoshop files so I need no alert boxes to pop up. (ON OSX)
I can open quark files with modified pictures fine but what I need to be able to do is open Quark files that have foreign encodings, which Quark brings upa dialog box for.
In photoshop I need to be able to open files without it asking for any colour conversions.
Any ideas on how I can approach this would be appreciated.
Cheers
Steve
In PS you just need to set your prefs to ignor the embeded profiles. Not sure about the Quark problem

I’m having a problem with this aspect of Quark as well. When the file comes up to open it displays the following error message:
“uses fonts not installed on your system”
I tried to use OkeyDokey Pro to get past this, but the default response takes you to a display of the missing fonts and the document still doesn’t open. Does anyone know of a plugin or anything else that would allow you to select an option other than the default on pop-ups?
Thanks, BC
Activating fonts is not a problem, just use suitcase 8 or above and script it, sample script comes with suitcase.

Yeah I got all this, what I was trying to find a way around is foreign hyphenation, i.e open a dutch quark in english says contains dutch hyphenation. I want to be able to open files without Quark saying this or find a way of checking to see if a file contains these elements before opening.
