Resize Columns in a table in InDesign CS 6

I am working on a request from one of my designers to write an applescript to be able to resize columns in a table for content coming from Excel into InDesign CS6.
I need to be able to have a script that will resize a column or number of columns to different widths. Can someone give me a starting point and I’ll go from there? I have so far not been able to find out how to do it by searching the forums.
Thanks,
Mike

Hi,

parent of the table is the story. so getting all tables of a story gives you a list of its tables.
A Table has got columns and rows. those have the properties width and height …

A good (best) reference: http://jongware.mit.edu/idcs6js/index_Tables%20Suite.html (even though it’s javascript)
