Retrieving data from text file and outputting to TextView

I want to take data from a text file on the hard drive and display it in a TextView table in Applescript Studio Pro…

Any ideas on how to do this would be appreciated…

What’s a TextView table? Try this:

–Open this script in a new Script Editor window.

on clicked the_object
set object_name to name of the_object as Unicode text
if object_name = “read_file” then
set the_text to (read (choose file))
set contents of text view 1 of scroll view 1 of window “main” to the_text
end if
end clicked
