This is an issue that I raised on the Script Debugger site and received a response but not as to the central issue. This is partially my fault, because my initial post was confusing.
Script Debugger is apparently designed to remember the last-edited position of a script. This makes a lot of sense and I would prefer that Script Debugger work that way. However, if I double-click on a script on the desktop or in a Finder window, and if Script Debugger is not already running, the last-edited position is not displayed and instead the bottom of the script is displayed and the cursor is at the bottom of the script. I’ve found a workaround for this but it’s clumsy and I’d prefer not to have to resort to that.
Does anyone else experience this or am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help.
