Script fails to compile when file size gets over 650+ KB

Greetings,
I’m brand new to Applescript and bulletin boards too for that matter.
I’m working on a script that is turning out to be very lengthy. It solves a numeric puzzle that is loaded into a 9 by 9 grid of cells on an Appleworks 6 spreadsheet. I’ve been testing extensively as I go and learn. It’s been and is a wonderful learning experience. But, alas, I’ve run into a snag. When my file size gets over about 650 KB it will not compile or save, oddly it will actually run and work properly. Is there a size restriction in Applescript?
Thanks for looking at my question.
Hendrik
ps. sShould I post the script? Is this enough info?
