Hi,

If you run this from the Script Menu in Panther or Tiger when Safari is frontmost, do you lose the menu bar?

tell app “Safari” to quit

I’m trying to figure out why I lose the menu bar in Jaguar. I think it’s because System Events runs the script and it has no menu bar.

I don’t - it reverts to the menu bar for app immediately before Safari in the Command-Tab presentation.

Hi Adam,

They must have fixed it. Mine reverts to the process before Safari, but has no menu bar until I click somewhere. It’s like the app is in limbo.

Edited: correction, it doesn’t revert to the process befoer Safari, but stays on Sytem Events.
