Script to wake up computer?

I would like to have my computer “sleep” when I’m through for the evening, 10 PM or so, but I need to have it wake @ 2AM to perform Retrospect Backup and stay awaake until the “routine maintainance” is run.
Is anyone familiar with a script or scripting addition which would wake the computer from sleep?
I could then schedule a script to run in “Cronnix” to wake the computer when I desire

I don’t know of any way to wake a computer with AppleScript. I use iBeeZz to trigger my Restrospect backups and it works quite nicely.

If you don’t need the ability for your wake mechanism to also run a script a la iBeeZz (i.e., you just need it to wake up the Mac and then have something like Cronnix run the script), then you can save a few bucks by using the freeware ResurrXtion. That said, iBeeZz is great software and the developer should be supported.
