Can people confirm that this returns the two-digit country code for your current location?

–Open this script in a new Script Editor window.

set gp_path to quoted form of POSIX path of ((path to preferences from local domain as Unicode text) & “.GlobalPreferences”)
set user_country to (do shell script “defaults read " & gp_path & " com.apple.TimeZonePref.Last_Selected_City”)'s paragraph 6’s word 1
–>“US”

It’d be especially helpful if non-US users could test this (though US users are helpful as well).
