after I installed UI Scripting Beta now I have 2 apps “System Events.app”
nr1 “System Events 1.2”
nr2 “System Events 1.1.2”
Is this a problem?
I use OSX 10.2.8

Nope, it is not a problem. The system will use version 1.2. I put it in my Login In items so that it starts up with the computer. But it will start up anytime you call System Events in a script. You can check to see which version is running with this script…
tell application "System Events" to get version
BTW, if you are going to be using Apple’s GUI Scripting, be sure to turn on the “Enable access for asistive devices” in the Universal Access control panel.
Does anyone know if this is still supported in Panther? Does it finally make it out of beta?

Yes I use UI Element Insprector and it works well.
Because I do not find a script to change the options in the “print dialog”, I will try it by myself. It’s a long way for me.
