What os was before mavericks?

Hi,

What os was before Mavericks? Darn, must be getting senile, but I just can’t remember the name.

Edited: probably can’t sleep or anything until I remember it!

Edited: I remember that Mavericks was the first non-feline.

Thanks,
kel

Nevermind, I’m not senile! It was Mountain Lion.

Thanks anyway,
kel

My recollection of the names are these:

10.0 Cheetah, 10.1 Puma, 10.2 Jaguar, 10.3 Panther, 10.4 Tiger, 10.5 Leopard, 10.6 Snow Leopard, 10.7 Lion, 10.8 Mountain Lion, 10.9 Mavericks, 10.10 Yosemite.

If there was a couger, I can’t place it.

Hi Adam,

Long time no here from you. Thanks, I thought Mountain Lion was the os I came into after 10 years or more before Jaguar.

I was trying to remember the os where email used to have references that could be used in the Mail inbox before Mavericks.

Thanks again for the verification.

may God bless and have a good day,
kel

Hi Adam.

Your recollection agrees with Wikipedia.

“Lynx” and “Cougar” were apparently registered as trademarks but never used.

Hello Adam

May you edit the menu allowing us to say which operating system we are running ?
It doesn’t allow 10.9 and 10.10.
For the Browser, it states Safari 537.85.10 which seems to be out of date for ages too.
Under Yosemite 10.10.2 it’s Safari 8.0.4 (10600.4.10.7)

Hi, Yvan;

Sorry to say that I can’t alter the menu picks for operating system or Safari versions. The Administrator title doesn’t include altering any of the source code for macscripter.net. It only permits me to alter and/or move submissions. Yours is a worthy point, however, so I suggest appealing to Ray himself.
