What process runs AppleScripts?

What is the name of the application/process that runs AppleScripts? And, where is it located?

I have a hunch that the current inability to set Display Alarms on Calendar events created by AppleScript could be solved if I gave that process access to Calendar.

There’s no one process. For example in an applet, it’s the applet itself.
