Folder Actions in OS X are different than those in OS 9. Therefore, applying a Folder Action to a folder in OS X does not cause the folder icon to change. Apple does provide a link to download an icon of a folder with a script on it, which you may manually apply to the linked folder, if desired. This icon file may be downloaded here.
